Think of it as a Toyota Prius on steroids. Starting next week, the first line of commercial trucks equipped with hybrid electric-diesel engines will go on the market [in Grand Rapids]. In stop-and-go city uses, the hybrid truck could use 30 to 40 percent less diesel fuel.
