New Public Opinion Poll Shows Energy Woes Having Dramatic Impact on American Automotive Buying Decisions

An overwhelming majority of Americans – 86 percent – say the next vehicle they buy will be more fuel-efficient, a survey released by the Diesel Technology Forum found.

The Forum released the survey with a study of the environmental and economic benefits of diesel vehicles as leading automakers over the next year prepare to launch more than a dozen new clean-diesel car and truck models that meet the world’s strictest clean air standards.
